AAF- Continental Governing Body for AstraYudha in Asia

The Asian AstraYudha Federation (AAF) is the official continental governing body responsible for the regulation, promotion, and development of the sport of AstraYudha across the Asian region, in accordance with the constitution, rules, and technical standards of the World AstraYudha Federation (WAF)AAF serves as the intermediate governing authority between the World Body (WAF) and the National Federations of Asia.

AAF acts to strengthen continental cooperation while respecting national autonomy.

Purpose & Objectives

The Asian AstraYudha Federation is established to:

  • Develop AstraYudha as a standardized and recognized sport across Asia
  • Coordinate AstraYudha activities among Asian national federations
  • Organize and approve Asian-level championships, cups, and training programs
  • Implement uniform technical rules, safety standards, and ranking systems
  • Promote unity, fairness, cultural respect, and sporting excellence
Role Within the AstraYudha Governance Structure

The AstraYudha governance hierarchy is structured as follows:

  • World AstraYudha Federation (WAF) – Global governance
  • Asian AstraYudha Federation (AAF) – Continental governance (Asia)
  • National Federations (e.g., AFI) – National governance

AAF does not directly govern athletes or clubs within individual countries.
National Federations retain full authority at the country level.

Relationship with World AstraYudha Federation (WAF)
  • AAF is officially affiliated to and recognized by WAF
  • AAF operates under the statutes and international policies of WAF
  • International technical updates and competition standards are adopted through WAF
  • AAF submits continental reports, event calendars, and development programs to WAF

This ensures harmonized global–continental–national governance.

Technical & Competition Responsibilities

AAF is responsible for:

  • Asian Championships & Continental Cups
  • Continental referee and judge coordination
  • Technical seminars and coaching development
  • Continental rankings and qualification pathways
  • Implementation of WAF-approved safety systems

AAF does not override national technical authority but coordinates continental standards.

Official Status Statement

The Asian AstraYudha Federation (AAF) is the sole continental authority for AstraYudha in Asia, operating under the authority of the World AstraYudha Federation (WAF).

No individual, organization, or group may claim Asian representation of AstraYudha without AAF recognition.

Membership

Membership of AAF is open to:

  • Recognized National AstraYudha Federations from Asian countries
  • Provisional members from developing AstraYudha nations (subject to approval)

All members must:

  • Adhere to WAF rules and ethics
  • Maintain independent national governance
  • Promote non-discrimination and athlete safety
